SAMBA HAIR VISUAL APPEARANCE STUDY SYSTEM (HVASS)- HAIR CARE PRODUCT EVALUATION

SAMBA HVASS is dedicated to the analysis of hair luster for hair care product evaluation (Reference: R McMullen & J. Jachowicz, J. Cosmet. Sci., 54, 335-351, July/August 2003).

SAMBA HVASS performs fast and complete analysis of hair visual appearance & objective hair luster measurement and enables product efficacy evaluation, shine claim substantiation & improvement of hair care product formulation.
SAMBA HVASS is a complete turn-key system (hardware + software). It delivers an automatic measurement of the hair luster and an analysis of the shine band geometry.
Connected to a computer via a fast firewire connection, SAMBA HAIR System delivers a complete analysis of the hair luster. The shine band is displayed on the screen. An automatic analysis of its geometry is delivered with the luster measurement. 1" (25.4 mm) wide, 6" (152.4 mm) long hair stripe is analyzed.
Shine Band
The hair positionning mount permits to analyze up to 6 hair samples. A simple translation of the hair positonning system permits to select the hair sample to be analyzed. The hair positionning system has a cylindrical shape. Hair samples can be easily placed and removed.

SAMBA HVASS provides fast & easy measurement on light and dark hair. Thanks to an efficient & robust positionning of the hair sample coupled to an optimization of the image acquisition in real time, high repeatability measurement - better than 1%- is obtained.
